on *are you here*, nthng takes an up-tempo bucket-booted drum shuffle and steadily filters its way into a skittering hat furore, all coated with epic pads and a demi-hoover rave stab. full fire-alarm business.
on the flip, there is serious influence from early trance and techno with the warehouse-crushing *in the afterglow*. constructed on the back of an early 90s hard house-esque alien synth patterns and rolling wildly into the deepest depths of the forest rave, until the long-awaited sunlight pads come bursting through the leaves.

its not often you hear a techno record produced by a total of five people. when it happens, it’s usually to mark a passage and make a statement. sometimes it is a matter of celebrating a rita of passage, a shift into maturity and the embodiment of a new skin. this is what repitch is doing with the fourth and final installment in their “features” series, reuniting all the crew for the the final blast of what’s been a long and massive barrage of heavy techno. this is the collaboration to end them all: repitch founders ascion, d. carbone and shapenoise have shared the studio with longtime allies and. together, they explore a common ground made of pounding metallic percussions, gutwrenching bass and thick, furious grooves, with each producer bringing his own peculiar contributions to the table. this last installment marks the end of a process that accompanied repitch throughout its whole existence, thus enhancing the beginning of a new chapter in the label’s creative output.

we are proud to be releasing the new alex smoke album ‘love over will’ as our first release of 2016. the title ‘love over will’ is a play on “do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. love is the law, love under will”, the central tenet of thelema, created by famed occultist and ceremonial magician aleister crowley, with the central thread of the album being “a statement on the times we are living in, but with an optimism relating to ways forward that are possible”.
